Why do you think its hard for young teens to open up to their parents

Haha when you're that young I think it's hard to hide it from absolutely everyone.

In my case it was because everyone labeled me "the good one" so I felt I couldn't do anything wrong and having a boyfriend at 14 is looked down on so I snuck around

I understand that parents have to be tough but to be so tough your kids are afraid to come and talk to you is a scary thing.

yes I was like what makes me different from everyone else. There were times I wanted to do the same as everyone else but then I would be like no don't want to disappoint everyone so I didn't do a lot of stuff I wanted to so as I got older I didn't know who I was

In Chapter 1 , When she was describing Jason - There are women who are single that have that same type of relationship with their male friend. I wonder if Jason would have approach her in a different way; such as wanting a full benefit relationship, what would she do? Such as wanting a grownup relationship

I think that some young girls are afraid of what their parents would say

I think its easier for people to have a relationship that is just physical because its satisfying their temporary needs but letting someone in to fulfill your long term needs is hard because its more of an investment....it takes more love, understanding, compromising and just more effort which is a hard thing to do especially it only being 2 months

I can remember when I got pregnant with my son at 15 years old - I didn't tell my mom, because my dad had just left us and she blamed my younger brother and I. So I felt like telling her would have made her even more angry at me. So I told my aunt and my oldest sister.

when I got pregnant I was 19 I had just finished high school 3 months earlier and I was set to go to college on a $85,000 scholarship so when I found out I left home didnt even tell my mom where i was going just left and never went back. Then 3 months later she called his phone and asked me and I thought about lying but then it would have came out anyways so I told her.

This^^. It takes way more vulnerability to have a relationship that isn't just physical.
